Wood Green, London.

A cement-paved, ivy-smothered space was transformed from a dark and claustrophobic rectangle into a vivid, painterly wonderland, full of unexpected surprises and quiet places to hide away. The garden was separated into two distinct parts - the fizzing, hot colours of the first larger, more social space, offset with contemporary black slate paving - and the tranquil, quiet area for reading at the back, with woodland planting, soft ferns and whimsical twirling iron gates, perfect for escaping into.
